Culinary Hacking explores modern usages of fermentation. In times of convenience and immediate availability, products putting to use the cultural traditions of fermentation seem to be taking a back seat in light of a wealth of pre-processed foods. Artist Carolin Schulze utilises an old technique in the creation of a 'fermentation starter-kit'. The work comments on the transfer of knowledge, sustainability and contemporary experimentation.
