A BORDER BETWEEN
A Border Between investigates the definition of a garment. Borders are used as a starting point in the work. To find out what there is that defines a garment's border abstraction is used. Through abstraction the garment is divided into essential aspects such as form, colour, material and details. These aspects are then composed back together to create new perspectives of the garments definition. The method circulates around possibilities and limitations in knitting. The result is a knitted collection, a series of examples of how abstraction can be used to investigate garments. The work is answering the question - what is a garment?
