Julie - Vanille Montaurier obtained a literary baccalaureate specializing in cinema, audiovisual and plastic arts at the Beaux Arts de Lyon in 2010. She started HEAD in Geneva in 2011 and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design in 2014. During her studies, she did an internship for 6 months at Malhia Kent in Paris, specialising in creating haute-couture textiles. Sensitive to raw materials and textures, she would like to develop her own brand in the future. Julie - Vanille Montaurier is currently pursuing her work on the sensorial dialogue between man and beast, while completing her Master’s degree in fashion design and accessories at HEAD in Geneva. Julie - Vanille Montaurier’s research on fabric is based on the dialogue between man and animal. This ephemeral nature dictates the production of its fabrics, especially with the use of glass. The clothing changes over time, the glass breaks and the crystals fall. Softness faced with piquant; a duality that sets the pace of her creations. The raw materials are the centre of her creations; the dialogue between fabric and form is at the heart of her work. She is interested in the way the fabric enhances the garment but also how the garment showcases the fabric - this is the main dialogue.
